Sh. Rajendra Prakash Singh
Prof. Rajendra Prakash Singh, a noted media personality with highly outstanding
achievements and reputation in the fields of electronic and print journalism, is
visionary Principal and dean of SCJMC. He is a Post Graduate in Economics from Banaras
Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. He started his career as a professional social
Activist by joining centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi, a reputed
organization dedicated to creation of public awareness in science, technology, environment
and development.

The Story of his great success in the field of Journalism begins with ‘Times of
India’ and ‘Business and Political Observer’.
After switching over to electronic media (APCA), he produced prestigious programs
for Doordarshan. He worked as a Head of Research, ‘Zee News’ and as the first CEO
of ‘MH-1 News’. As Head of research and reference of Zee News, he had the credit
of conceptualizing the online storage and Retrieval system. He was also project
leader. During his tenure in electronic media he produced several reputed programs
with renowned media personalities Mr. Dileep Padgaonkar and Dr. Arvind Das like
‘Breakfast News’, ‘Subah Savere’, ‘India Invented’. He produced above 300 episodes
of ‘pehal’ (outstanding contribution of social concern); 20 episodes of ‘Neta tumhi
ho kal ke’ and 23 episodes of ‘ Andaz Apana Apana’.
